Paw Prints Etc. LLC is a licensed pet grooming salon and boutique located in Dublin, Virginia, owned and operated by Rebekah Lee. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect the personal information you provide to us when scheduling appointments, registering as a client, or otherwise interacting with our website at pawprintsetc.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you register as a client or request an appointment:
- Your first and last name
- Your mailing address
- Your phone number
- Your email address (optional)
- Your pet's name, species, and breed
- Appointment history, visit notes, and pet weight at time of grooming
- SMS consent records including initials, date, and time of consent (if you opt in to text notifications)
- Your IP address, if you submit the quick "Request an Appointment" form on our homepage, used for spam filtering
We do not collect payment card information through this website. All payments are handled in person at the time of service.
3. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used solely to operate our grooming business. Specifically:
- To schedule and manage your grooming appointments
- To contact you regarding your appointments by phone or text
- To maintain your pet's grooming history so we can provide consistent, informed care
- To send appointment reminders or pickup notifications if you have opted in to SMS
- To comply with any applicable legal obligations
We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to your grooming services with us.
4. Your Data Is Yours Alone
Your personal information is stored in a private, dedicated database that belongs exclusively to Paw Prints Etc. LLC. It is not shared with, combined with, or accessible by any other business or organization. Your records are never mixed with data from any other entity.
We will never sell, rent, trade, give away, or otherwise disclose your personal information to any third party for any reason, with one exception: if we are compelled to do so by a valid court order, subpoena, or other legally enforceable legal process. In that case, we will comply with the law and, where permitted, will attempt to notify you before disclosing your information.
The one exception to the above is the quick "Request an Appointment" form on our homepage. That form is delivered through a centralized mail relay operated by BizPinPro, our website developer, rather than going straight into our private client database. The relay uses Anthropic's API to screen the message for spam and SMTP2GO to deliver it to us, and keeps its own delivery log for troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Once we schedule your appointment from that request, your information moves into our own dedicated database described above.
5. SMS Text Messaging
If you choose to opt in to SMS text notifications, your consent is documented with your initials and the date and time of your agreement. We use your mobile number only to send appointment confirmations, reminders, and pickup notifications. We send no more than three messages per appointment visit.
You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message we send, or by calling us at 540-629-3192. Opting out will not affect your ability to schedule or receive grooming services.
6. Data Security
Your information is stored on a secured private server and is accessible only to authorized staff of Paw Prints Etc. LLC. We take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No system is completely impenetrable, but we take this responsibility seriously.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as you are an active client of Paw Prints Etc. LLC and for a reasonable period thereafter in case you return. If you would like your records removed, please contact us directly and we will honor that request unless retention is required by law.
8. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your records, subject to any legal retention requirements
- Withdraw SMS consent at any time
